Farm Radio Turst drilled extension workers in Zomba and Balaka districts on linkages between interactive radio programmming and the Participatory Integrated Climate Services for Agriculture (PICSA) approach in Malawi.
This was the 4th and last training for Trainer of Trainers under PICSA, with financial support from the WFP/Climate Adaptation Fund.
On the picture above is the Balaka ToT group, whose training was officially opened by the Director for the Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services (DCCMS), Mr. Jolamu Nkhokwe. Similar PICSA ToTs for the final phase have also been done this week in Nsanje and Phalombe districts. Mangochi, Blantyre and Chikwawa districts already completed the final phase. Other trainers for the PICSA ToTs include those from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), the Department of Agriculture Extension Services, district councils, the DCCMS, etc.
