Farm Radio Trust, as a knowledge broker participated in the Pan African Soybean Variety trials results demonstration at Pyxux Chilanga Farm in Kasungu. This was done Pyxus in collaboration with DARS, IITA with funding from USAID through Feed the Future Agriculture Diversification Activity. Reporting from the field, FRT’s Clément Shema shares what is happening on the ground to help small-scale farmers. “Legumes especially soybeans have the potential to improve farmers livelihood that’s why we decided to be part of the Pan African Soybean variety trials” says Dr Elizabeth Sibale, the Deputy Chief of Party for the Feed the Future Agriculture Diversification Activity.
