Farm Radio Trust Malawi is under the leadership of the following board members


Mr Henry Kachaje, the Current Board Chair of FRT, has an economics background with over fifteen years of Business Development Services (BDS) provision, enterprise development, training development and facilitation for the public and private sectors. He has qualifications in entrepreneurship and business development from University of Durham (UK), University of Pretoria (RSA); he also has a certificate of Training of Trainers from Gray Training cc (RSA). He has led different teams of professionals on various business research and study assignments in Malawi and the SADC regionas provided training and business consulting services locally and globally


Dr. Clodina Chowa, is the current vice board Chairperson for FRT. PhD holder in International and Rural Development from University of Reading, School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, United Kingdom and Masters of Science Degree Communication for Development, University of Reading, United Kingdom. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma from University of Reading, UK and Diploma in Agriculture from Bunda College of Agriculture. Currently she is Chief of Party for Strengthening Agricultural & Nutrition Extension (SANE) project. . She has over 30 years of experience in extension.


Mr Washington Kaimvi is the current board treasurer for FRT. A charted accountant (ACCA), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) of the United Kingdom, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Malawi and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy. He is the Director of Finance and Administration of the Central Medical Stores. He is a consummate accounting and audit professional with over 25 years of work experience in management of finances, audits, grants, human resources and general administration at senior


Dr. Betty Chinyamunyamu is holder of PhD from University of Leeds, School of Politics and International Studies, United Kingdom, and Master Degree. She holds a Bachelors Degree from Chancellor College. She is the current Chief Executive Officer for National Stallholders Farmers Association of Malawi (NASFAM) and is a former Board Chairperson for Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (SMEDI). She has vast experience in farmer organization and commercialization of agriculture in Malawi.


Dr. Jerome Chimgonda Nkhoma holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Development and Communication from the University of Reading. He is the current Director of the Department of Agriculture Extension Services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development. He is a communication expert with vast experience in communication for development and agriculture extension.
